mixed media
mixed media is my answer to the question
"what if?" it's all an experiment. sometimes i'm lucky
and the ideas hold clear. i try to never say "oh you can't
do that!" although i am aware i'm not that lucky in the three
dimensional world. but in the two dimensional realm -- mixed media
is my stream of consciousness. collage, sewn lines, embroidered
points, encaustic wax - the goal is to make a visual idea clear.
mixed media is about playing, trying something new, seeing if it
will work. by nature i lean towards the serious, though i sense
playfulness might be more valuable these days.
