when i finally paid attention to my coffee stained chemex filters, they immediately went from the kitchen to the studio.
i've printed and painted on filters. sewn lines and collaged. they became the text series "letters". during a visit to italy i started using the little individual espresso filters called pods. teabags have moved in and out of my painting over the years.
